Easy Chili
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 4 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • ½ Tbsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 12 oz beer (nothing crazy, light lager like Miller light or Yuengling)
  • 28 oz can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 16 oz can of light red kidney beans (put in a strainer and rinse with cold water)
  • 1 16 oz can of chili beans (put in a strainer and rinse with cold water)
  • 2-3 cups beef broth
  • Salt and Pepper
  1. Warm some olive oil up in a pot or pan and add the beef, pork, onion, 1 Tbsp of chili powder and salt and pepper.
  2. Brown the meet then strain the contents of your pan.
  3. Add the meat back to a pot and then add everything except the beans.
  4. When you have added everything, the liquid level should be a little above your meat. Add additional beef broth if you need more liquid. If you don’t want to use beer, just use more beef broth.
  5. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cook for 30 minutes.
  6. Add the beans then cook 15 more minutes.
